Prayer Call: Exposed
Good Morning, BFB!
This is a day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today’s scripture focus: “Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.””-Exodus 4:10-12 NIV
“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.”-Jeremiah 1:4-8 NIV
This morning we will look at two characters, Ezra and Jeremiah, and see how God took what they viewed as weaknesses as an opportunity to disply His ability. God stepped in and told them both that everything that you're short of, I'm there to satisfy. Everything you feel that you cannot do, I will do if you trust me.
Moses felt like his speech wasn't good enough and God told him that He would speak for Him. Jeremiah felt like he was too young and God told him I'm with you and I will take care of you. There is something for us to learn from both Moses and Jeremiah - they both show us that our fears and insecurities are not too big for God to handle. What God has called us to, He will see us through we just need to turn it over to Him so others can see His power working in us and through us.
God purposely chose you, because He knows there's somebody that's watching you - that only you can reach. They relate to you and your witness assures them that if God can do it for you, He can do it for them. If God can use you, He can use them. As we go throughout the week, turn what your fears and insecurities over to God so that He can use you to do the work He's called you to.
