Worship in Assurance

Good Morning BFB,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that your journey of prayer and fasting is already strengthening your spirit. For me, this has been a time of deep reflection and discernment, and I hope you’re experiencing the same. I also pray that you’re finding encouragement—and sharing it with others—because we all need it. I hope you’re forming new connections and being strengthened in ways you never expected. Let’s keep pressing forward, because as Bishop Thomas reminded us, “WE GOT THIS!”

This morning, as I was reading Day 6’s devotional, a song from my playlist began to play. It’s become one of my morning staples: “Already Better” by Dale Brown and Truth. It’s amazing how God aligns moments, as this song fits perfectly with the theme of centering on worship. Worship is more than a fleeting emotion; it’s rooted in the truth of who God is and what He has already done. For me, this song captures that reality so beautifully.

The lyrics remind me of the assurance that, because of God’s love and care, our circumstances are already improving—even before we utter a prayer. The song’s refrain, “I’m already better, and it’s all because You are thinking of me,” fills me with confidence in God’s constant mindfulness of His children. It brings to life Psalm 139:17-18: “How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.” Knowing that God is always thinking of us changes our perspective and gives us hope, even before we see answers to our prayers.

During our season of prayer and fasting, the song highlights a key aspect of worship: gratitude. The line “You make me better” isn’t just about celebrating what God has done in the past; it’s a declaration of what He is doing right now. Even in the midst of brokenness, sickness, or struggle, we can trust that God’s love is actively at work, making us whole.

Right now, I pray that someone is experiencing spiritual healing for the brokenness they’re fasting over. I pray that habits are being transformed, marriages are being restored, and clarity is coming to those seeking God’s guidance. Even now, God is making things better.

What makes this song truly special is its focus on the already. Before the prayer is spoken, before the tears fall, before the breakthrough arrives—the promise is secure: God is with us, and He is already making things better.

I just wanted to offer this encouragement for Day 6. I pray this inspires you to thank God for what He’s already doing in your life. Even before you fall to your knees, remember: you are already better, because He is always thinking of you.

I Love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

I really admire your gift with words and knowledge, and how you exhort us by teaching what’s complicated yet simple enough to reach the masses. Your words have a way of coming alive as you speak. Thank you
