Day 10: Connect Through Serving One Another

Focus Area - CONNECT
Strengthening relationships within the church & community

Scriptures: Galatians 5:13, 1 Peter 4:10
Reflection Serving others is a reflection of Christ’s love and a way to strengthen our connections within the body of Christ.

Expanded Focus
Galatians 5:13 reminds us that our freedom in Christ calls us to serve others humbly in love, reflecting Jesus’ own example of servanthood. 1 Peter 4:10 highlights that each believer has been uniquely gifted by God to serve others, making us stewards of His grace. These scriptures emphasize that service is not optional but a natural outflow of our faith, a demonstration of our love for Christ, and a way to reflect His character to the world.

Serving others is both a privilege and a responsibility. It creates opportunities to reflect Christ’s humility and selflessness. Consider Jesus washing His disciples’ feet in John 13:12-17. In this act of profound humility, He set an example for us, teaching that true greatness is found in serving others. Serving isn’t about recognition or reward but about showing God’s love in practical ways.

Service happens both inside and outside the church. Within the church, we strengthen relationships by meeting spiritual and practical needs through ministries and shared efforts. Outside the church, service becomes a testimony of God’s love to the world, building bridges and fostering understanding. When we serve, we grow closer to God and one another, cultivating unity and trust.

Connecting through serving one another helps us grow with one another by cultivating humility, strengthening relationships, and demonstrating the love of Christ both within the church and in the wider community.

Questions to Consider
  1. How can you use your God-given gifts to serve others in your church and local community this week?
  2. What specific barriers might be keeping you from serving, and how can you overcome them?
  3. How has serving others deepened your relationships within Beulah and your local community? If not, how can you change that?
