Day 21: Contribute Through Gratitude

Focus Area - CONTRIBUTE
Using our gifts, talents, & resources to glorify God & serve His kingdom.

Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Psalm 100:4
Reflection: Gratitude shifts our focus to God’s goodness and positions us to receive even more of His blessings.

Expanded Focus
Gratitude is a spiritual practice that transforms our hearts and minds. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 calls us to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, reminding us that gratitude aligns us with God’s will. Psalm 100:4 invites us to enter God’s presence with thanksgiving, celebrating His faithfulness and steadfast love.

As we complete these 21 days of fasting and devotion, take time to reflect on what God has done in your life. Perhaps you’ve experienced a breakthrough in an area where you’ve been seeking freedom, or maybe you’ve released a burden you’ve been carrying for far too long. It could be a renewed sense of closeness with God or a deeper understanding of His Word. For some, it may have been discernment about a decision you’ve been wrestling with, as God’s still, small voice has provided clarity and direction. Whatever it may be, gratitude allows us to pause and acknowledge the goodness of God and His hand at work in our lives.

Gratitude also inspires action. Consider how you can express your thankfulness in tangible ways. Perhaps it’s through an act of generosity, like sowing a seed into the Brooks Project above your regular tithes and offerings. Reflect on the non-discretionary spending you abstained from during this fast and how those resources could further Beulah’s mission and vision of C.O.R.E. (Community, Outreach, Redemption, and Education). Gratitude is not just a feeling but a response that aligns our hearts with God’s purpose and extends His blessings to others.

These 21 days have been a journey of growth, challenge, and transformation. Gratitude allows us to celebrate what God has done and encourages us to carry forward the lessons we’ve learned. It reminds us that the end of this fast is not the end of our spiritual pursuit but a launching point for deeper faith, greater service, and a more profound connection with God and others.

Contributing through gratitude helps us grow with one another by fostering joy, encouraging generosity, and building a culture of thankfulness that honors God and blesses others.

Questions to Consider:
  1. What are you most grateful for as you reflect on these 21 days of fasting and devotion?
  2. How has this season brought you closer to God or provided clarity in areas where you needed it?
  3. How can your gratitude inspire you to sow into God’s work at Beulah, including the Brooks Project?
